REVA University is a private university located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. It was established in 2012 under the Government of Karnataka Act No. 13. The university is sponsored by the DivyaSree Group and founded by Dr. P. Shyama Raju. The university is spread across a 45-acre lush green campus at Rukmini Knowledge Park, Yelahanka, Bengaluru. REVA University offers over 100 programmes across Engineering, Architecture, Design, Business, Management, Commerce, Liberal Studies, Science, Technology, Law, and Performing Arts. The university has 38 full-time undergraduate programmes, 31 full-time postgraduate programmes, 20 Ph.D. programmes, and certification & diploma programmes.

History
REVA University was established in 2012 in Bengaluru, the IT capital of India, under the Government of Karnataka Act No. 13. The university was founded by Dr. P. Shyama Raju and is built on the trusted legacy of the DivyaSree Group.
The university was established with the philosophy of "Educate to Enterprise," a unique approach that nurtures entrepreneurial thinking, leadership, and real-world problem-solving. REVA has grown to become a multidisciplinary institution offering programmes across Science and Technology, Life Sciences, Legal Studies, Management, Arts & Humanities, Architecture, and Performing Arts.
The university has achieved significant milestones over the years. It has filed over 1000 patents, published more than 125 books, and established over 20 research facilities. The university has incubated more than 90 start-ups on campus and has built an alumni network of over 40,000 graduates. Facilities
REVA University offers comprehensive academic, research, residential, and recreational facilities across its 45-acre green campus.
- Central Library and Digital Resources: The Library and Information Centre supports academic programmes and research activities. The library remains open until midnight for students.
- Research Centres and Laboratories: The university has over 20 research facilities and has filed over 1000 patents. The campus features AR and VR facilities, Idea Labs, and Fab Labs for innovation and hands-on learning. The university has incubated over 90 start-ups on campus, reflecting its "Educate to Enterprise" philosophy.
- Hostel and Accommodation: REVA University provides separate on-campus hostel facilities for boys and girls. Rooms are fully furnished with cot, mattress, bedspread, pillow with cover, study table, study chair, bucket, mug, and whiteboard. Facilities include gymnasium, mess facility with all four meals offering North and South cuisine with prior booking on Space Basic app, Wi-Fi until midnight, solar hot water based on fixed timings, REVA health center with nursing staff and ambulance available round the clock, free laundry, RO drinking water, newspaper reading rooms, beauty parlor and men's salon inside campus, snacks vending machine, sanitary pad vending machine in girls hostel, incinerator in girls hostel, fortnightly outing for girls, and games arena.
- Health and Safety: The campus has a REVA Health Centre with round-the-clock nurses and doctor and ambulance available. Bio-metric attendance is mandatory for hostel students between 08:00 PM and 09:30 PM. Campus in and out timings are enforced with students required to return by 8:00 PM.
- Sports and Recreation: The university promotes holistic development through sports, culture, and community engagement. Student clubs, food court, NCC, NSS, and voluntary work opportunities are available. Manodhaara and AI Verse are among the campus initiatives.
- Campus Infrastructure: The campus spans 45+ acres of lush green space with modern academic blocks, smart classrooms, advanced labs, research centres, auditoriums, and libraries. The total built-up area is 17,50,000 sq. ft. The campus also includes a guest house.
Admissions
Admissions to REVA University programmes are conducted through national-level entrance examinations, university-specific entrance tests, and merit-based selection.
- Undergraduate Admissions (B.Tech.):
- Admission is based on a good score in REVA University Engineering Entrance Test (REVA EET) / JEE (Main) / JEE (Advanced) / Karnataka CET / COMED-K or any other equivalent examination conducted by recognized institute/agency.
- REVA RISE is the university's entrance exam for various programmes.
- Undergraduate Admissions (Law):
- Eligibility requires pass in PUC or Senior Secondary School course ('+2') or equivalent from a recognized University/Board securing aggregate marks not less than 45% (40% in case of SC/ST, 42% in case of OBC) of total marks.
- Admission is based on CLAT/LSAT/REVACLAT. A good score in REVA University Common Law Aptitude Test (REVA CLAT) or CLAT or any other equivalent examination conducted by recognized Institute/Agency is required.
- Candidates who obtained 10+2 or graduation through open universities system directly without basic qualification are not eligible. Candidates having job-oriented course and diploma course are not eligible for law courses.
- Undergraduate Admissions (B.Com Capital Markets):
- Eligibility requires pass in PUC/10+2 of any recognized Board/Council or equivalent with an aggregate of 60 percentage.
- Application Process:
- Application forms are available in Online Mode only at the official admissions portal.
- Application fee: Indian/SAARC Nationals ₹1000; NRI Fee ₹2000; Foreign Nationals US$ 50 (for law programmes).
- International students application fee: 3600 INR.
- For international students, required documents include Statement of Marks – O Level (Class X), A Level (Class XII), 3-year UG programme, 4-year Engineering UG, UGC Equivalence Certificate, 8 passport-size photographs, and valid passport.
- International Admissions:
- Foreign Nationals (including PIO and OCI cardholders), SAARC Nationals (Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afghanistan), and NRI students can apply.
- Foreign National students must register on the Study in India website for obtaining SII ID and Student VISA.
- All international students must register with FRRO within 14 days of arrival in India (except Nepal and Bhutan nationals) and obtain a Residential Permit.
- Doctoral Admissions (Ph.D.):
- Ph.D. admissions require a Master's degree with prescribed aggregate marks, followed by university entrance procedures and interview.
